Applications and credentials for admission to the Master of Business Administration program must be submitted for processing to the Carroll University Office of Admission. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and as decisions are made on applications, applicants are notified through the Office of Admission.

Application Process

STEP 1: Submit the Graduate Studies Application

STEP 2: Complete and submit the following within the application status portal after submission of your application:

  2. Official Post-Secondary Transcripts - From all institutions attended

Academic Requirements

  1. Applicants must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
  2. If the cumulative GPA is below a 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale), additional admission criteria apply and additional admission materials may be required.
  3. Students interested in pursuing the MBA with an HCA emphasis should have at least one of the following:
    • Completion of a healthcare-related associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution. Examples of healthcare-related degrees can include (but are not limited to) healthcare administration, health information management, nursing, pre-med, medical assistant, and health information technology.
    • At least 2 years (4000 hours) of documented work experience in a U.S. healthcare facility within the last 5 years.
    • Successful completion of a healthcare terminology course and introduction to healthcare course within the last 5 years from an accredited U.S. institution.  Examples of these courses at Carroll are HCA100 (Health Care Terminology) and HCA150 (Introduction to Health Care).

International Admission Process

Applicants must comply with all admission requirements listed above. Selection decisions will be based on submission and evaluation of:

  1. Completed Graduate Studies Application
  2. Professional résumé - Click here to upload to your status portal.
  3. All official post-secondary transcripts, including both graduate and undergraduate course work. Official transcripts must be mailed directly to Carroll University Office of Admission.
  4. If academic work is from outside the U.S., an official course by course evaluation report from WES or ECE is required.
  5. If the applicant’s native language is not English, an official proficiency exam (TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, or Duolingo) is required and must be sent directly from the testing agency to Carroll University.
    • The Carroll University institution code is 1101.
    • Score results must be from a test taken within the last two years.
    • Applicants who are citizens of or who have received a bachelor's degree from one of the following countries are exempt from the English proficiency requirement: Australia, Belize, the British Caribbean and British West Indies, Canada (except Quebec), England, Guyana, Ireland, Liberia, New Zealand, Scotland, the U.S. and Wales.​​
      • Minimum required TOEFL score:
        • 79 (internet-based test) —or—
        • 213 (computer-based test) —or—
        • 550 (paper-based test)
      • Minimum required IELTS score: 6
      • Minimum MELAB score: 85
      • Minimum Duolingo score: 115
  6. Students in F-1 visa status must complete the Statement of Financial Support and submit a bank statement.

Applicants must be eligible to return in good standing (be free of academic or disciplinary probation) to all institutions previously attended. Please note that at this time the Carroll University MBA program does not offer scholarships to graduate students.
